Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
I'm Dr Togay Koç — patients call me Toeguy (yes, like "toe" and "guy"). I treat the full range of adult foot and ankle problems across Hampshire and the South East.
About
Patients call me Toeguy. The name started as a play on my first name — Togay became Toe-guy — but it's become how I think about the practice: an expert who can talk to you about your foot in plain English, not a name on a clinic door.
I'm a Consultant Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Surgeon based in Hampshire, working across the South East of England. My practice covers the full range of adult foot and ankle problems, from bunions and stiff big toes to ankle instability, Achilles problems and complex deformity correction.
I trained in orthopaedic surgery in the UK and hold the FRCS (Tr&Orth). I'm a member of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Southampton, where I teach medical students and co-supervise a PhD.
Not every problem needs surgery. Some need physiotherapy, some need insoles, some need time. My job at the first appointment is to look at your imaging with you, explain what's going on without the jargon, and help you decide what's actually right for you.

Most patients are seen within a week. You don't need a GP referral to book privately, though it helps if you have one. The first appointment is a conversation — we look at your problem together and work out the right next step.
